P2A1

A single-shot, break-open action signal pistol, the P2A1 fires a variety of signal, illumination, and parachute flares to an altitude of 1,000 feet (305 meters) with a burn time of six to 25 seconds.

The HK P2A1 can fire either 26.5 mm or 25 mm flares. Its body is constructed of polymer composite with a steel barrel and breech. Metal surfaces are phosphate for protection against corrosion.
