Oberndorf, 30 June, 2011. The German Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) has dropped a cartel investigation against Heckler & Koch GmbH. The Bundeskartellamt initiated investigations in March 2010 following the complaint of a company managed by a former Heckler & Koch executive. Heckler & Koch denied the accusations form the very beginning. The Bundeskartellamt pursued its investigation regarding alleged anticompetitive agreements against representatives of Heckler & Koch and other producers of small arms. The Bundeskartellamt now ruled that alleged complaint was unfounded.

The Bundeskartellamt is still investigating in an alleged “call for boycott” case against Heckler & Koch. This case has been brought before the Bundeskartellamt by the same company and is baseless as well. Heckler & Koch will defend itself as it did in the other case that was now dropped.
