The H&K AG remains as a strong and reliable partner

Despite difficult circumstances, such as the second Corona year in a row and the resultingrestrictions, the company achieved the most successful business year in the company's historyin terms of handguns and further remains fully on track this year.

Sales increased 2021 by approximately 5,5 percent up to 290,2 million Euros. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were at 58,0 million Euros which therefore were around 16 percent higher compared to the previous year. Profit after taxes amounted to 21,8 million Euros.

2022 also started successfully. In the first half of 2022 Heckler & Koch could achieve a turnover of 156,1 million Euros – around 13 million more compared to the reference period 2021 - with a profit after taxes in the amount of 16 million Euros. In reference to the prior year (11,5 million Euros) this is an increase of around 39 percent.

Heckler & Koch not only substantially invested in production in the past years, but they also invested in IT infrastructure and very strongly in IT security.

Additionally, Heckler & Koch continuously develops new and innovative products. One example of this is the pistol SFP9CC which was specially invented for concealed carry. The on the market launched assault rifle HK433 is the base model for the expansion of the assault rifle family including the HK437 (special caliber .300BLK) and HK231 (caliber 7,62 NATO).

We react proactively responding to changing requirements and therefore can offer our customers - for their demanding tasks- the right weapons “explained the chairman of the board Dr.-Ing. Jens Bodo Koch.

The Russian army's attack on Ukraine, which is contrary to international law, makes it clear how fast a war can be started. The NATO defense alliance can only protect security and freedom if the NATO alliance partners make their contribution.

„A world in democracy and freedom, protected by women and men in the best possible way equipped with guns from Heckler & Koch, is the vision of our company which was elaborated in 2021 and is more valid today than ever before. “This is a message from Jens Bodo Koch at the annual general meeting of the H&K AG (virtually) on Wednesday, 3 of August 2022.

Heckler & Koch supplies security authorities of NATO states and the EU (green-country-strategy). In Germany, besides the German Armed Forces, for example, police of the states, the federal police, customs and the federal parliament police. „We have long-term contracts with our partners, which ensures a consistent and stable customer base with the best credit rating.“ said CFO Dr. Björn Krönert.

Also the new German Armed Forces assault rifle will be manufactured by Heckler & Koch. The higher regional court Düsseldorf decided in the end of June that it was right to exclude the competitor C.G. Haenel in the procurement procedure, because C.G. Haenel infringed patent law of Heckler & Koch. This infringement was not indicated at the tender. The HK416A8 by Heckler & Koch had previously been named as the technically and economically best offer. „In the future, soldiers will be equipped with one of the best assault rifles in the world. The HK416 has proven itself in action with almost all NATO special forces and already serves as a standard weapon with the German Special Armed Forces command (KSK) as well as in France and Norway and in the U.S. Marine Corps.“ explained Jens Bodo Koch.

In future Heckler & Koch will further expand its range of services. „The field of activity of our customers is constantly changing. Adapting system capabilities of our weapon system to the specific missions of our customers will become a focus of our customer advisory services. This system expertise we will continue to expand with selected cooperation partners“ according to Chief Executive Officer Koch.

Heckler & Koch has also developed a sustainability mission in the course of its mission. „The sustainability mission underpins the entrepreneurial action of Heckler & Koch to constantly be economically, ecologically and socially oriented towards sustainability. This also includes effectively embedding sustainability management in all processes and business areas. “ said Björn Krönert. Concrete examples of this include an annual sustainability report, for the first time for the year 2021, reducing CO2 emissions by purchasing green power and reducing CO2 emissions to zero by 2030.
