Heckler & Koch GmbH and Bertel O. Steen Defence & Security (BOSDS) have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to further develop their long-standing cooperation with a focus on dependable lifecycle support for Norwegian customers.
The joint ambition is to make manufacturer expertise and local support more accessible to the personnel who operate and maintain Heckler & Koch systems. The initiative is intended to contribute to system availability, operational readiness and effective long-term sustainment.
Dag Kristensen, CEO of Bertel O. Steen Defence & Security, said:
"Heckler & Koch has been our trusted partner for many years, and its products remain an important part of Norway's defence and security capabilities. Together, we want to support the skilled personnel who keep these systems ready for use, building on their knowledge and experience, making manufacturer expertise more accessible and supporting operational readiness.”
Marco Geißinger, Chief Sales Officer of Heckler & Koch, added:
“Our responsibility does not end with the delivery of a product. Long-term customer support is at the heart of our Services & Training activities. Together with Bertel O. Steen Defence & Security, we want to bring our service capabilities and manufacturer expertise closer to Norwegian customers and remain a reliable partner throughout the entire lifecycle of our systems.”
The LOI marks an important milestone and provides a basis for further dialogue on future service initiatives, combining Heckler & Koch's manufacturer expertise with BOSDS's local presence. The scope and delivery of any services will reflect our commitment to long-term customer support, system availability and operational readiness.
